No one likes to feel "stuck" regarding their wellness. I know, I've been there.
A Professional Aromatherapy Consultation may offer the options that you are looking for.
What Is Clinical Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy focuses on the use of essential oils for wellness. Every oil has it’s own special conglomeration of constituents that make it special. Essential oils are incredibly useful tools for health because they have antibacterial, antiviral, expectorant, anti-depressant, and tonic properties, just to name a small few. Plus, many of them have a wonderful aroma as well!
Clinical Aromatherapists are trained to know exactly what each constituent in an oil can do, as well as how those constituents work together chemically. They are also trained to use each oil safely, and the potential contraindications of each oil they use. There are many people willing to give advice on essential oils, but there are very few trained people. Sometimes what worked for your aunt or your friend is great advice and will be amazing for you too – but in some cases it may not be, and may even be a very bad idea in your specific case. Clinical Aromatherapists know about each and every oil they use and recommend. They are also trained to work with other treatments (both natural and allopathic) to ensure you get the best possible care.
My personal training includes a diploma in Holistic Health Practice, as well as a Certification in Aromatherapy from the American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS). ACHS is a fully accredited college in Portland, OR. This is an approved National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) Level II Aromatherapy program (over 200 hours of training), and endorsed by the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA).
What Is An Aromatherapy Consultation?
You will meet with me one on one to receive personalized care and assistance to help make decisions regarding what lifestyle changes and/or essential oils will work best for you and your specific needs. In many cases a personally specialized blend will be created just for you! I not only take into consideration ways in which Aromatherapy may help, but because of my background and training in Holistic Health in general, I am able to see more of the “big picture” and make other personalized suggestions for you as well.
People seek consultations for a myriad of reasons, but some of the most common are:
Pain Management (including headache, muscle aches, joint issues, etc.)
Allergies and Hay Fever
Emotional Balance (Anxiety, Depression, etc.)
Immune System Support
Lymphatic and Circulatory System Support
Relaxation and Stress Management
General Advice on how to use Essential Oils
What Will Occur During My Consultation?
We will discuss your goals for the consultation, current health status, any allergies or potential sensitivities you may have. I will also answer any questions. It’s extremely important to remember that Aromatherapists and Wellness Consultants are not licensed medical practitioners, and therefore, I do not diagnose, treat, or cure, and my aim is not to “take the place of” a doctor or medical caregiver.
I do however, make aromatherapy and holistic health recommendations that can help balance, support, and promote wellness that compliment any current treatments or medications. For example, a blend to help alleviate joint pain or specific essential oils to lessen panic attacks. It is my aim to properly educate my clients on the options they have for their situation, and how to safely integrate those into their current lifestyle.
How Much Does a Consultation Cost?
Initial Consultation: $65 (for up to 90 minutes)
Your very first consultation will (most likely) be the longest because that is the one where I gather information and start to form a clear picture of your specific needs and situation. Initial Consultations usually take between 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the individual. They are relaxing, low-key, and confidential. I will have suggestions for you regarding essential oils and other holistic options during this consult. Oftentimes further recommendations are given after the consult via email, phone, or in person after I have researched further on your situation to provide the best possible advice. This research is included in the cost of the Initial Consultation. If applicable, a personalized blend is also included in the fee free of charge!
Standard or “Quick” Consultation: $40 (15 to 60 minutes)
After your Initial or Extended Consultation (otherwise known as an “Established Client”), these are follow up consultations, or a consultation in which you would like a few questions answered or advice on a new situation. After the Initial Consultation, these are the standard and most common.
